There are things that happen behind the scenes in every club. In the case of my local club, SARTS, because it is such a small club, none of the committee members is paid. All work is voluntary.

I can name several things which the club members do not regularly see:

· Radio Amateur Examinations

· Incoming QSL tasks

· Outgoing QSL tasks

My friend Siva 9V1SV volunteered in 2011 to take over as Outgoing QSL Manager. Here are some things he has to do to keep the outgoing QSL cards moving

· Collection of mail from the Post Box

· Treasurer’s duties

· Council Meetings

· Yearly meetings with the authorities (IDA)

· Organizing of club talks

· Rental of meeting room
